Threaded Rod Hose Restraint

Challenge:
Hoses and equipment overcrowding the shackling point.
Solution:We designed and manufactured a rod prototype to replace the shackles, thimbles and brackets on the existing hose restraint. Wire was fed through one end of the rod and swaged shut to create a neat, streamlined finish.
Outcome:Our threaded rod hose restraint is now part of our client’s standard operating procedures. An Innovation Patent was taken out for this new product (Application No: AU 2013101651)
Soft Single Eye Cable Stocking

Challenge:
Cables slipping out of stockings when changing crane ropes in a wharf environment.
Solution:We created a longer single eye cable stocking with 30 diamonds instead of the standard 20. The custom cable stocking provided increased grip to keep cables secure and prevent slippage.
Outcome:Our custom solution eliminated the problem, creating a safer working environment with minimised downtime.
Hose Restraint Extension

Challenge:
No shackle points to connect hose restraint.
Solution:We created a hose restraint extension that was plaited at the centre with a thimble at either end. The thimbles were attached to both eyes of the hose restraint and the plaited centre was wrapped around a fixed object on the plant equipment.
Outcome:An efficient, cost-effective shackling solution that complies with health and safety regulations.
Carabiner Offset Eye Cable Stocking

Challenge:
No method for attaching restraints to high pressure water jetting equipment.
Solution:We adapted our offset eye cable stocking by removing the thimble and replacing it with a carabiner snap hook.
Outcome:The cable stocking provides an effective shackling solution, with the strength to be fitted quickly and removed easily.
