Safe and secure cable management

Effectively handle cables that need to be pulled, attached or secured. Our cable stockings have a woven sleeve design with a built-in eye to slide onto the cable and form an attachment.

Also known as cable grips, cable pullers, cable socks, wire rope pulling grips, woven grips and Chinese finger grips, the stocking shrinks to fit the cable and tightens when pulled.

Handwoven by our specialist team in Australia, our cable stockings are used by businesses all over the world. We supply to the mining, oil & gas, utilities, high pressure water jetting, renewable energy, agricultural and construction industries.

Our Wire Materials

Our cable stockings are available in three core materials. Depending on your application, you may require a stocking made from Kevlar, galvanised or high grade stainless steel.

We keep our standardised stock on hand at all times, ready to deliver to you when needed. Our ready-made cable stockings are available in 6mm to 300mm sizes.

Made to measure products are supplied when required. For unique challenges and specialist applications, we provide fully customised solutions.

Materials

Material Type	Properties
Wire	Our cable stockings are available in three core materials. Depending on your application, you may require a stocking made from Kevlar, galvanised or high grade stainless steel.
Galvanised Steel	Our Korean 7x7 G2070 high tensile galvanized cable stockings are ideal for any application that does not have long term exposure to a corrosive (marine) environment. High tensile strength Virtually no stretch coefficient Mid range flexibility The flexibility of the wire means it handles easily.
Stainless Steel	316 stainless steel wire rope is particularly robust. Our stainless steel cable stockings are ideal for the oil and gas industry. High tensile strength Mid range flexibility This product contains molybdenum which renders it marine-grade and highly resistant to sea spray.
Kevlar®	Strong, lightweight and durable, Kevlar® cable stockings do not have the metallic fraying as traditional grips do thereby eliminating the chance of being injured from metallic strands. Thimbles and Ferrules	All Thimbles and ferrules used for steel cable stockings are made of 316 stainless steel. For Kevlar products an aluminium thimble covered with heat shrink is used. Heat shrink is applied (in place of ferrules) to the end of the Kevlar restraints to finish off the product. Copper ferrules can be provided if desired.
